Before consulting the five steps describing how you can easily place an order, you should read carefully our General conditions of sale, which is a contractual document and describes all obligations entered into by you and Payot.ch respectively once you have placed an order and we have confirmed its acceptance by e-mail.
Placing an order: step by step
My basket
You can access your basket by clicking on the My Basket icon located at the top of your screen.
This will display all books in your basket, as well as essential information identifying them [Clickable title to consult Article file, name of Author[s], Description, Ean13, Price and delivery time]. At this stage, you also have the possibility of specifying whether or not you would like all or some of these books to be gift wrapped. You can if you wish enter a message that will be addressed to the person to whom you are sending the book(s). Lastly, if you remove some of these articles or change the number of copies, you can recalculate the amount of your basket [excluding postage costs].
Once you have verified the contents of your basket you can click on the Continue Your Order button to go to the second step in the order process: Identification.
Identification
The page that then appears is a summary of your billing and delivery particulars which you entered at the time of creating your account [Help. Creating and managing an account] or that you have changed subsequently.
You may if you wish Change your billing address, or Change or Add a delivery address.
Once the identification step is complete, you can click on the Next step button where you will be able to make your choice regarding Delivery of the article[s] in your order.
Delivery
Depending on the place of delivery of your order you can opt for Available from bookshop [Link Help. Delivery methods and options. Anchor Available from bookshop] or Dispatch [Link Help. Delivery methods. Dispatch].
To register your choice, simply check the corresponding box.
If you would like your order to be dispatched, you can choose either Economy-Dispatch or Priority-Dispatch. According to the delivery times of the articles in your Basket, and if the delivery address is on Swiss territory, you will then have the choice of two dispatch options: Grouped dispatch [a single delivery] or Ungrouped dispatch [several deliveries according to the respective availability times of your articles].

If you live in Switzerland and would like to collect your order from one of our bookshops, select Shop collection and, in the list of our bookshops, choose the one you prefer.

Once you have made these choices, the table in the second part of this page will automatically be updated. It summarises the amount of your order, consisting of price details of the articles you selected and postage costs for its delivery if you opted for the Dispatch Method.
If your order is postage free [Link Help. Dispatch. Anchor. Dispatch in Switzerland] as part of a delivery in Switzerland only, or if you chose Available from bookshop, the amount of your order will correspond to the cost of your article[s] only.
Once you have made your delivery choice, you can click on the Next step button to go to the fourth step in your order: Gift and dedication.
Gift and dedication
You chose to ask for one or other of the articles in your basket to be gift wrapped or to have a dedication inscribed if its author will shortly be attending a signing in one of Our bookshops [Link. Our bookshops. Our events].
This screen shows details of the options you have chosen for your order. You can change them as required.
Once you have verified them or made necessary changes, you can click on the Next step button to go to the fifth step of your order: Payment and validation.
Payment and validation
Once your Basket [Anchor Basket] contains all the items you require, your Identification [Anchor Identification] is complete, your methods of Delivery [Anchor. Delivery] have been selected, and any options Gift and dedication [Anchor. Gift and dedication] indicated, all that remains is for you to specify the method of payment you wish to use to pay for your order.
Here you can make your choice depending on the type of Account [Link Help. Creating and Managing an account] you have and the Methods of payment [Link Help. Methods of payment] you can use.
Simply check one of the methods of payment displayed at the top of the screen and follow the instructions corresponding to your choice, particularly in the case of a Payment by credit card [[Link Help. Methods of payment. Payment by credit card] or a Payment by electronic gift voucher [Link. Help. Methods of payment. Anchor. Payment by electronic Gift Voucher].
The bottom part of the screen lets you view all the details of your order [list of articles, price of articles, delivery methods and options, total amount of your order].
After confirming that you have read and agreed to the General conditions of sale [Link. Help. General conditions of sale] of Payot.ch, all you need to do is Confirm your order by clicking on the corresponding button before going to the sixth and final step of your order.

Your order has been placed!
It is now transferred either to our Customer service [Link. Contacts. Anchor. Customer services], our Professionals and Institutions Department [Link Contacts. Professionals and Institutions Department] or the bookshop [Link. Our bookshops] you have chosen to collect it from.
After a few minutes an e-mail confirming your order will be sent to the e-mail address you notified to us beforehand.
Lastly, from this moment and depending on the type of account [Private Person Account (Link Help. Creating and managing an account Anchor. Opening a Private Person account)] you are using and the delivery method [Dispatch (Link Help. Delivery methods. Anchor. Dispatch)] you have chosen, you can via your account [Help. Creating and managing an account. Anchor. Managing an account] track the progress of your order and its subsequent dispatch.
One-click orders
If you are in a hurry and your invoice address, delivery address, delivery method and preferred method of payment correspond exactly with the information contained in your account, then you can use One-Click ordering to purchase an article.
Simply click on the One-Click Order button located in the top right-hand corner of all article files of our books and follow the instructions that appear.
